Makati Life Medical Center is a 100% private tertiary hospital and is a joint venture of Makati LGU and Life Nurture Incorporated (LNI) consortium.

  • What are the types of patients Makati Life will serve?

    The facility will serve self-pay/private patients, HMO cardholders, patients with insurance, industrial/corporate partners and Makatizens including Yellow Card holders.

  • How big will the hospital be?

    Makati Life Medical Center will be a 16-story hospital with 360-bed capacity and a Medical Arts Building that will have 196 clinics which can house 800-900 doctors. 

  • Is there a parking space in Makati Life Medical Center?

Yes, there will be a 3-basement parking area.

  • “I have a fever”, Can I proceed with my face-to-face appointment?”

    We highly suggest to do an online consultation and follow the doctor’s instruction if a face to face consultation is necessary.

  • Can I request a laboratory test without a doctor’s prescription?

    Patients are required to undergo a consultation with our Family Medicine Physicians to determine the necessary and accurate procedure.

  • How will I receive the results?

    Results will be released at the Makati Life 24/7 OPD (Outpatient Department).

  • Can I authorize someone to collect my results?

    Some tests can be released to a person authorized by the patient. However, certain tests mandated by law can only be claimed by the patient themselves (e.g., D-Dimer results, HIV Screening). You are welcome to visit us once your results are available for release.

  • Can I take my medication before blood collection?

    It is advisable to consult your doctor regarding the medication you need to take prior to blood extraction.

Ultrasound Department
  • Is there radiation involved in ultrasound?

    No, ultrasound does not involve radiation. It uses sound waves to create images of structures within the body.

  • Can I repeat my ultrasound after a week?

    Yes, you can repeat an ultrasound after a week since it does not involve radiation. However, it is advisable to consult your doctor to determine if repeating the procedure is necessary in your specific case.

  • Why is fasting required?

    Fasting is required to allow the gallbladder to become distended, which helps in obtaining clear images and checking for any potential pathologies.

    If you are advised to fast before your appointment at Makati Life 24/7 OPD, we kindly request that you arrive 30 minutes before the designated time of your fasting period. This is crucial to ensure the smooth progression of your examination or treatment. Please take note that if you arrive late and fail to adhere to the recommended timing, our doctors reserve the right to reschedule your appointment to prioritize your well-being and ensure that accurate results can be obtained during your visit. This is also applicable to patients who opted to fast on their own.

  • Can I drink water before the procedure?

    The necessity of drinking water before the procedure depends on the specific procedure requested. If the requested procedure involves the urinary bladder, prostate, or pelvic area, it is recommended to have at least the urge to urinate or a full bladder. However, please follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider.

  • What if I forgot to bring my doctor’s request? Can I still proceed with the procedure?

    No, it is important for the concierge and the radiologic technologist to verify the doctor’s request and examine the diagnosis before starting the examination. Therefore, it is necessary to have the doctor’s request available before proceeding with the procedure.

  • How will I get the results?

    Results are readily available at Makati Life 24/7 OPD for your convenience. You are welcome to visit us once your results are available for release.

X-ray Department
  • I had an X-ray last month. Is it safe to get another X-ray today, or can I present my previous result?

    While X-rays generally involve a low dose of radiation, it is still recommended to consult your doctor to determine if a new X-ray is necessary. They will be able to assess your specific situation and advise accordingly.

  • Is it safe to have an X-ray while pregnant?

    We discourage X-rays for pregnant women unless it is deemed necessary and requested by the attending physician. In such cases, a written consent form must be signed by both the patient and the requesting physician to ensure the utmost safety.

  • How will I get the results?

    Results are readily available at Makati Life 24/7 OPD for your convenience. You are welcome to visit us once your results are available for release.
